Why is my Ford Mondeo juddering?
My 2013 Ford Mondeo 2.0 diesel Powershift experiences gearbox judder when cold. I have owned the car for six months and it has covered 68,000 miles. I occasionally tow a caravan. The smooth gearchanges return after about 15 minutes once warmed up. Any idea what's causing the judder?

This generation of the Powershift transmission needs a fluid and microfilter change every 30,000 miles. Did the seller provide any evidence that this has been done? If not I'd be concerned about excessive wear of the twin clutches, especially if the car has been used for lots of towing.
If you are lucky, the problems will be solved by a gearbox fluid change (which costs around £300). If you are unlucky, the transmission will need to be replaced and this will be a very expensive job indeed that could run into the thousands.
