Lexus GS

Lexus has always tread a different path to the competition - as the GS illustrates. This may be a big saloon but there's no diesel option, instead Lexus offers only hybrid power. There was originally a GS 250 petrol model but it was dropped from the range in early 2014.

The GS 450h is the stand out version with rapid performance when required but hushed quiet most of the time. True, it doesn't boast the sharpest handling and the CVT gearbox takes some getting used to, but as it's a Lexus it will be utterly reliable and you'll be dealing with some of the best dealers in the business.
