• Ford - 06 Transit Connect - cold noisy injectors ?? 2 Jan 2008 (Forum)
  I have a Transit Connect less than one year old.. when starting in the morning the diesel engine is very noisy ..after 4 or 5 mins everything goe nice and quite and smooth.sometimes it starts quite and smooth but drive it a mile down the road and re start it and it becomes noisy for a short while. Ford have told me this is due to noisy injectors when cold ... are they telling the truth ?????

  I have recently purchased an 05 Mondeo LX from a 'Ford' dealer. The Owners handbook is dated 02 and things like the heating control system refer to rotary controls rather than the push-button one fitted. Have I been given the wrong handbook? Can anyone with an 05 model tell me what version of handbook they have?

  I have a 1.4TDCi Ford Fiesta that keeps eating the bottom 2" off the plastic oil dip stick. I am now on my third dip stick which has only lasted three weeks and the end has again broken off into the sump. Anyone else had this problem.

  My 53(2004 model) Ford Mondeo Ghia Estate has an annoying problem with the tail gate.When relased from inside it some time does not close locked again , the lock mechanism does not locate,more by luck than know how I have managed to mess with the fob and reactivated the lock.Has any one else had this problem ?

  Have a ford ka 2002 which produces a knocking noise from front suspension when going over bumps, i have checked the lower arm and bushes also checked the roll bar bushes all seem ok,the only thing i have noticed is that when the car is sat on stands i have a lot of vertical lift on the struts where there seems to be a lot of free play at the top mounting, is this normal?.

  Does anyone know of any good online spares companies dealing with Ford?. Hopefully something like GSF or Eurocarparts with a fully searchable catalog and prices?. I have tried google and all it has turned up are breakers who require that you contact them with specific part requirements, which still would be of no use if I was after a new or pattern part.

  Hi all, I may be buying a '99 Ford Focus and need your advice on the air con. When you put it on full belt (setting 4) it isn't really that powerful - there is definitely something coming out but when you switch it to the recirculated air feature it becomes a lot more powerful.

  Has anyone fitted a towbar to a new shape Mk.3 Mondeo. I need to fit one soon to mine, but I've been told by two Ford dealers to fit a Ford towbar and electrics and not to let "others" fit it as there is a good chance the car's electrics and ECU will be damaged. Sounds a bit extreme to me. I know Ford will say this to get the job and the cash, but I don't want the warranty invalidating due to someone making a mess of the electrics.
