  Hi, I have a Ford Mondeo estate and I am trying to put some more oil into it but cannot get the oil cap off. It clicks when I turn it but does not come off, when I try and turn it the other way it does not move at all.

   It stops when the brakes are applied, even slightly, so I assume that it is associated with the brakes. The local Ford dealership has been unable to identify the cause, possibly because their test drive was too short.  Has anyone else experienced this problem, or can suggest a cause and solution?

  First time buying used so any advice welcome Need to upgrade to a big family car, was thinking something like this: 2008(58) Ford Mondeo 1.8 zetec tdci 5dr 125bhp 75k mileage ..... £7k I need to PE a 04 Fiesta Flame 1.4 with100k on the clock and general wear and tear - cosmetic scatches to paint alloys etc. 12months MOT and FSE tho Im hoping to stick to 5k cost to exchange, does this seem reasonable?

  Just read the review of the new Ford Focus ST: http://www.honestjohn.co.uk/road-tests/ford/ford-focus-st-2012/ What a smart plan to make an estate version!  If I had a bunch of children/dogs/stuff to put in a car but wished to keep 'driving' instead of 'transporting', it'd be a great bet if cars like the BMW Tourings were out of my price range.

  Is this too much as the garage I bought the car from , who sell Hyundais but also have a Ford service centre, stated that this is a major service where the brake fluid needs to be changed as well as normal service items? I do have a service plan, which will cover £ 185 of the cost, but is this too much for the service.

  ford transit 2006 2.0 diesel was running ok stopped parked up for 3 days now will not start has error code of p1361. have had fuel pump edc checked and repaired will start on easy start so mechanical timing ok have swapped main relay in fuse box. cant get fuel feed pipe off fiter to manually prime system. immobiliser gives all correct signs of working ok

  The tailgate keeps falling down but the Ford main dealer wants £86 for a pair. I looked briefly on a website and found them cheaper but now I want to order them I can't find them. I put in the part no. 1321021 but all the sites come back and say they can't find a match.

  Hi     How do I put oil into the gear box of my automatic ford focus...?  I was told at the garage where I take it  for its annual     mot  that there is a separate filler for this I thought  you just put the oil in the engine oil filler on the top of the engine   and where is the filler part to do this ?

  I have seen advice about blocked pollen filter, but they have now moved the pollen filter away from the area in front of the windscreen. The windscreen is Ford original. My dealer wants £400 to dismantle the dashboard to investigate in front of it. Any ideas

  Hello, I am considering buying a repo'd Ford Focus (X Reg) 1.6 Ghia, however it has no keys. I was wondering what sort of task would it be to change the ignition and door locks. I have noticed on Ebay that you can buy ignition, lock and key, but some also come with the ECU.

  The blower on my ford ka 2010 model only works on position 4 on the dial. My local dealer says its the blower resistor pack and that it will take three days to do the job because the dashboard as to be removed to get at tthe resistor pack.

  I have been trying for around 4 weeks to sell a: 2002/02 reg Ford Fiesta 'Freestyle' 1.25.  90k on the clock. I listed the car for sale on 'ebay' as an auction, with a reserve of £750, however, people keep trying to kick me in the nuts!  £400 was the last offer!

  Our lad passed his test wednesday, first attempt, next day i sourced him a Ford KA, seems a poorly maintained motor but hey ho, 1st car and all that, but it came with only 1 key, black with 1 corner red, im a bit confused how he can generate a spare key, and is using the red key liable to compromise the cars alarm system?

  I have a 51 plate ford mondeo tddi, and just today i noticed that when i put the air vent on in the car, i got a smell of burning/exhaust fume smell coming into the car. I have owned the car for since 2002 and never had this problem before.

  Can anyone tell me if my 2007 Ford Focus 1.8 TDCI has a DMF or not? I can't seem to find anywhere that specifies this. I've got the latest Haynes manual, and it simply says some models have the DMF, others have another type of sprung flywheel.

  i have a ford mondeo 2.0 tdci 6mt and when cold there is a mis fire only on idle and first thing in the morning it does not like going over 2500 rpm as if it is running out of fuel. i have changed the fuel filter and the air filter and had the injection pump union replaced as it was leaking but none of these have made it better. please help

  Another question to all you much more intelligent than me people...How do you remove the top part of the centre console armrest? I know you can buy the part seperate from Ford but cant seem to see how to remove it. I just fancy getting it trimmed in leather. As always any help will be gratefully received. Stevie
