  After the car (Honda Accord) has been running for a while (20 minutes plus) there is a distinct burning smell coming into the car when the aircon is on, but not when the normal heater/fan are on. It\'s a sort of an electrical burning smell. Anyone know what this could be?

  Does anybody know what make of 2lt. DTI diesel will be in an S registered Rover 620 SDI? The top of the engine is heavily shrouded which makes identifing the engine manufacturer difficult. Handbook says Rover, but I suspect it is originated by either Peugeot, Citroen or Perkins.

  Road maps give the spelling of a village near Mablethorpe in Lincolnshire as Theddlethorpe St Helen, but local road signs have an "s" added at the end, i.e. Theddlethorpe St Helens. Which is correct, and who is the definitive authority on the spelling of place names? L'escargot by name, but not by nature.

  I have had nothing but problems with my current car (Peugeot 3008) and have so far had to spend £1500+ to get it to a point where I can sell it because of auto gearbox issues. Price wise I am looking at pcp deals at the mo with a max spend of £350pm and a £7000 deposit. Anything that's between 3_6 years old will do me.   We are in the market for a car. It will mainly be used for the school run and the odd longer journey at the weekend (max 20 miles). We probably do 5000 miles a year. I have a large dog so an estate is a must for me. I have spotted a PHEV 2018 Passat with 70k on the clock in budget. As it has a list price of over 40k it qualifies for the extra tax, however I think I could offset that by saving on fuel during most of its use.

  VW will not replace doors but are going to repair as discribed below: " After removing the corrosion and cleaning the affected area we will apply 2-k-Epoxid filler (part number LLS Max 220) as anti corrosion treatment. We will reapply the seam seal and paint and wax the door fold. During this process we would protect the outer area against damage – stick adhesive tape on the edge of the outer panel to avoid further paint damage.

  I have done alittle research and also test driven both cars ( albeit new models)  My budget was originally 6k/7k but I have waited alittle longer and is set at 10k max I have need for  kids ( currently 2 nearly 3) and.comfort as prioity but don't want the lowest spec.engine on both  I drive mainly urban but commute about 20 mins to work mon to Fri on a roads so I think petrol or diesel would be OK I have settled on either a toyota verso probably petrol 1.8l auto  Or a pug 5008 either petrol 1.6( higher bhp engine)l or diesel 2.0l.
