  Hi,  I bought a 2nd hand mk2 focus from a local ford dealership a couple of weeks ago. I have noticed that sometimes reverse gear wont engage. it seems to happen about 1 in 7 times, which is about once a day for me. I took it back to the dealership yesterday and they told me they couldn't find anything wrong with it. they said that the issue was caused when the teeth on the discs dont align properly, and that by tugging on the gearstick a i pull up the clutch, it should just pop into gear. i was told that as mk2 focuse dont have synchromesh for reverse gear, all of them are suceptible to this problem, so i should just 'get used to it'.

  Hi ive recently purchased a ford fiesta 1.3 T reg 1999 and problems already. Driving along the dash and rear lights went out, had the car looked at and was told that it was a switch on the stick. SO i took it back to the guy i brought it from as id only had it 2 days and he replaced one for the time being only thing is that i now have rear lights/dash and wipers but no indicators!!

  After 2 tankfulls of fuel I suspect the MPG has dropped by 10% Are there any ford mechanics that can advise me please ? should I leave them at 50 or reset them to a smaller gap ??  thank you

  Hi, I recently bought a Ford Focus 1.6 TDCi (90) 2006 model with 71000 miles. The car was running well for about 7 weeks and i was getting great mileage - about 700 or so from a tank. In the 8th week, i noticed a hissing noise coming from the engine and upon further inspection found it coming from the 3rd injector, I also noticed there was a black film/build up around it.

  I have a strange problem on a Ford Focus which hopefully someone can shed some light on for me. A few weeks ago when we had the cold spell before xmas the battery failed. Luckily I had a spare which matched the requirements so I fitted it.

  I have seen a 2002 1.4 tdci ford fusion at a local indie dealer. He had literally just received it in and had not valeted it etc... He gave me the keys to fire it up and, well, I was almost knocked out by the fumes inside the car.

  Help! I've got a Ford Transit Connect fitted with the Ford 1.8 TDCi engine, 110ps. It's done 10,000 miles. The response to the throttle when the engine is at idling speed is terrible...I'd say bordering on dangerous. If you are waiting at a junction, engine idling, in first gear and a gap comes up in the traffic.....put foot on gas and the engine does nothing for a half second, then lazily spools up....dare to let in the clutch at this point and you'll wait an eternity for any acceleration.

  I have a ford focus 1999 and the key fob is playing up. When i press the key all doors open apart from the passenger door and i have to unlock it manually when i enter the car. When locking the car by the button the passenger door refuses to lock thus the other door locks bouncing back open.

  All the door and window seals look OK - the drain holes in the bottom of the doors are all un-blocked and it is not getting into the front passenger footwell, which I guess rules out the pollen filter thing. I'm SO cheesed off with this car leak that I will NEVER EVER again buy another Ford. I had a ford Escort which leaked in the boot, a ford Granada before that which also leaked in the boot and now this piece of junk! Any suggestions would be appreciated!! Kind regards. Leo
