Bit in today's Telegraph quoting Harriet Harman, the Solicitor General, saying that 700 cyclists were prosecuted last year, 600 convicted and 500 fined. She said "The C P S is well aware that the law applies to cyclists in the same way that it applies to everybody else". Oh, goody!.

  • Ford Focus - Engine failure after missed recall 28 May 2016 (Forum)
After a lot of phone calls it seems that I was never informed about a recall last April to replace the degas hose and I now need the engine replacing. Ford are going to replace the engine in the extended warranty - which I am happy about, but they are unwilling to cover the cost of a hire car as it is now out of warranty. This has left me very annoyed - I have already paid £87 to have my car moved from my local garage to the ford garage and almost £40 in taxis to work.

  • Ford Fiesta or Zetec - Buying new small ford car. 17 Feb 2014 (Forum)
Am driving a 2004 1.4 zetec petrol two door hatch back, and am looking to trade in for new ford of similar type or maybe small engine. Am retired now and car would be used for local trips plus occasional jaunts to the country orvisiting relatives in UK.. My priorities for this car would be eco fuel consumption, good boot space and as small a width as possible so as not to scrape the paint off when I drive it into my single garage.
