  When i undo the 7mm allen key bolt to withdraw the pads will the disk come off then or is there something else i need to do. The ford service manual on cd says that it will slide off when the caliper is off?

  Anyone know what Fords plans for the Ka are? Will the baby of their range soldier on for ever in the style of a 2cv or the Mini or is an all new car planned. With the design almost 10 years old now with little development and (probably) quite profitable why change a sucessful niche product?

  It will only rev up to 3000 rpm in all gears. I also take forever to start - before it was very quick at starting! It is a 2004 Ford Galaxy Ghia 1.9TDi PD 130ps VW engine. Any help is appreciated! Thanks

  Does anyone have an idea why my 2000 ford focus 1.8 zetecs airbag warning light has came on. It comes on when the key is turned on then goes off for a few seconds then it goes on and stays on all the time. The first time it came on was one cold morning when i got in the car and put the front and rear screen heaters on mite be just a coincidence not sure.

  My father is moving back over here, he wants to know what is invovled in importing his current car (Ford Escape, or Maverick over here). Does it need to be modified in anyway to pass SVA test. All I can think of is headlight adjustment, being a fairly recent car it should pass emmissions??? Any advice would be gratefully accepted.

  I have a second hand M reg Ford Fiesta 1.1 with a built in immobiliser that needs a key I beliece is called a plip, I've had that car for 6 months but I have had my keys along with the plip stolen and I dont have a spare. Where can I get one from?

  Hi Wonder if someone can help.. Got my Ford KA3 roof skin replaced recently and since then Ive noticed MW radio interference occuring when I put my foot down.. Have they not connected the roof aerial back up properly or something? Its only MW, FM works fine.

  all, ive noticed that when pulling up my handbrake the light does not light up on the dash, today i checked the handbrake switch, bukbs behind the dash, cleaned connections where switch meets earth point on handbrake it self all working ok. has anybody got any more ideas on what it could be?? -- shaun the sheep ford fiesta. 1.8d. j reg. 91'.

  I have a ford escort 1.8D van On an N reg, the gearbox has packed up on it and I have got my hands on a gearbox out of an escort 1.8D on a J reg. The gear box looks the same but it has a different mounting bracket which comes off and can be replaced with the one off the original.

  Please can someone help me? I bought a Ford Probe 2.5L V6 but the alarm system does not seem to work. I have two key fobs for the car none of them work. I think one's for the remote central locking and one's from the immobiliser but they do not seem to work are there any diagnostics i can do before i take it to an alarm specialist.

  I see Ford exhibited a Model U vehicle at the Detroit Motor Show, which they claim no part of the vehicle, would ever end up in a landfill site. Many of the plastics used being soy based, rather than conventional petroleum based plastics, which can be composted when the vehicle is eventually scrapped.!!

  I'm all in favour of this, but surely if I "trade in" the damaged panel then security is not being compromised, I could buy a replacement at reasonable cost and Ford would have a happier customer. I believe that the actual cost of these panels is very low.
