  When I had finished my 'Reginald Molehusband' manoeuvre I was astonished to discover a blue oval 'Ford' badge and the word 'Focus' impressed into a chrome strip along the boot. Closer inspection revealed that it was a Focus coupe. It had a UK plate and was right hand drive but I can find no mention of that model on the Ford website.

  hi all. i have a 05 2.0tdci mondeo hatch. i bought the car from fords about 2 months ago, 2 weeks ago it started pulling to the left and was vibrating/shaking at about 70mph. it went back to fords who done the tracking and balancing but it didnt seem to be any differant, it went back 3 days ago and they said they have adjusted it again, problem is ............... its still doing it but seems worse. is there anything else it clould be???????

  have the glow plug light flashing on dashboard i have had the plugs checked and they were dead so got them replaced but still had the problem of lack of power,poor starting from cold have also checked the injectors (run off test)and they are ok today i cleaned the egr valve and hey presto got the power back the only problem i have with the car now is the flashing glow plug light does anyone know how this can be turned off without having to take it to fords as my local ford garage is run by a bunch of monkeys

  A piece of good news for mondeo mk3 2.5l owners- I had an alternator on its way out, confirmed by Ford. The battery light was coming on and off. The Ford price was £370 approx, plus fitting say £450-£500. I didnt like that and was recommended to use an independent specialist. The fitted alternator was not the exact model as none could be found at short notice, but I was assured it would be compatible and capable .

  hi s.i.l. has just purchased a 1.6 ford focus but not yet picked up. it is just over 12 months old (8/3/08 first reg) and done just over 9000 miles. i told her it is due a sevice, she contacted the seller (wll known car supermarket) who told her that it will need a service, but they would not do it and that she will have to have it done at a ford or vat reg garage. so to keep the warranty it needs doing. as the car is now over 12 months old, does anyone know if or what is the grace period on the service intervals thanks

  Well Mrs FC is ready for a change she has a 05 petrol Focus 2 Zetec Climate. We are looking to source through Ford Direct again. I fancy the Focus 3 Titanium Estate in Tango Orange! Greys and blues seem to show those supermarket scratches. Ford Direct seem to have mostly Titanium 1.8 TDCi's and 2.0 petrols, few 1.6 diesels or petrols.

  Today I had the orange coolant replaced on my ford focus (petrol). When the technician at the Ford garage was doing the job I heard him reving the engine and holding it there for about 1-2 minutes. Is it usual to do this when changing out the coolant and would it do any damage to the engine ?

  I own a Ford Focus 1.8 petrol and it is a T reg (1999) with nearly 77k miles. The coolant has never been completely renewed because Ford say 10 years for this. Also, because I am not the original owner, I think that the coolant pump is still the original and so I am worried that it might either fail or leak or both.

  Hi All, I'm looking at buying a 2001/51 1.6 Zetec Ford Focus. Done 40k miles, but can't see evidence of cambelt change - it's from a franchised Ford dealer, and they can't seem to say for sure when it should have this done. They're telling me it that on a Zetec engine it's at 100k miles/10 years - is this correct?

  I've seen a Ford dealer advert (complete with photograph) on the internet for a low mileage June 2003 Focus, and so far (on paper) the only thing which I'm dubious about is the colour ~ Blue Print. It's not a current colour and I don't recall ever seeing a car that colour.

  The Times online reports that: A jury has ordered the car manufacturer Ford to pay $368 million (£200m) in damages to a Californian woman who was paralysed when her Explorer sports-utility vehicle rolled over. http://driving.timesonline.co.uk/article/0,,12389-1134277,00.html The report says the driver argued that the Explorer's design made it prone to rolling over during common evasive driving manoeuvres, but quotes Ford as saying that it's not fair, because "any SUV would have rolled over under similar circumstances".
