  I have seen a 2003 (53) Ford Focus 1.6 zetec with 37k miles on the clock. It has 2 previous owners and Full service history and 12 months warranty from a Ford garage. However I have a couple of concerns about it. The trouble is the car was first registered in December 2003 and by June 2004 the car had already covered 12k miles and then by about the same time in 2005 the car had then completed about 21k miles.

  I have a 07 1.6 focus zetec and had problems with the gears slipping out of 2nd, 3rd at slow speed around town, and not being able to select reverse without double pressing the clutch. i took it to my local ford dealer, as i have only had the car from Oct 08 and it is still under warranty(Ford Direct). They had the car for a couple of days and could'nt find any faults with it. I received a service inspection sheet, that had cleared the car of any faults.

  The car has been serviced at main dealer on the dot - it's due its 5th service at 60,000 mles. He's due to hear tomorrow if Ford will pay, needless to say he's not too happy at the moment - in 20 years of teaching and 7 or 8 Fiestas this is the first major fault he has had.

  I bought my 2006 Ford Focus in January. Just after the 30 day no quibble exchange period ended (typical!) the boot started to open itself at random. The dealer fitted a new boot catch which sorted the problem for a while but now it's doing it again.

  There is comma oils on gsf website which are reasonable. Has anyone used these on a power shift gearbox. I know the ford kit is very expensive. Which other oils would be suitable. Thanks for any advice. Sparky100

  Hello I just bought a 2005 Ford Focus. The rear window wiper stops in an upright position, except when you activate the rear screen wash, then it wipes properly. What's the most likely problem? I'm waiting for a Hayes manual from eBay and will attempt to fix it myself.

  Hello. The radio on my 64 reg fiesta has just stoppes working.  The Ford radio picture is there when you press the on button but absolutely nothing else. None of the buttons do anything when pressed.  Do these cars still have a code? Also is it covered on the warranty?

  I saw an advertisement in the New Scientist magazine for an intelligent all wheel drive system for the Mondeo.  When I looked at the Ford website to find out more about it, the website wasn't any help.  When I type in the search term 'All Wheel Drive' the screen changes to the Transit van.  Does anybody know anything ?
