  My Jag monthly magazine has an article in it saying that Ford are going to go down the aluminium route for a lot of their models........ to save weight........ and assist their green credentials........ and that they are looking at the Jaguar technology from the current XJ series and future Jag projects........ to assist them in the process.

  I'm potentially going to look at a 2001 Ford Focus TDdi Zetec Estate today. I know they are not as good as the TDCi, but budget doesnt stretch to that. Its up for £2995 with 12 months warranty, but its got 123k on the clock (full main dealer history).

  I have a Ford Focus 1.8i. I am finding the engine keeps cutting out, the speedo drops to zero and if i don't keep the revs up the car stalls. Has anyone heard of this propblem before and does anyone have any answers?

  Hi I have a ford Ka with Zetec engine and am losing some water the signs on drive is that it is coming from the back right of engine as you look from the front. I can see couple of heater? hoses do these connect to engine block on that side?

  My 97 1.3 endura engine ford fiesta starts and drives ok idles ok but when you give it a hard rev it does'nt return to idle it cuts out but will restart no problem, its becoming a real pain and dangerous when it cuts out when stopping at junctions etc Can anybody help

  A lucky person I know won a Ford Ka "Style", 05-plate in a competition; it's blue, to be picked up on Friday, and sold ASAP. Parker's gives '04/10,000 miles value £4685 ("Private Good"). The cost new seems to be IRO £7,500. Would £6,000 be a reasonable price to sell, I wonder?

  Hi, I have a Ford KA 3, and the heater is blowing out cold air. Apparently it is the heater valve that is causing the problem, and I would like to try and replace this myself. Can anybody give me any advice please on how to do this, or should I give in gracefully and take it to the garage.

  The reason I ask is that I have oil changes at Rapid Fit between services and they use Castrol Semi Magnatec 5/30. Then at the dealer they use Ford (assume so) branded oil. Prolly same stuff but unsure. Cheers all. James

  hello everyone,quick one for you,have got a £150 1.6orion LX on a J plate,not a bad little runner,needs a coupla of tyres.........BUT have been offered 4 alloys of a same age sierra same tyre size with almost new tyres fitted for not a lot of cash(£40)(mate is building cossie replica)....so are fwd and rwd ford rims interchangeable? thanks all
• Ford EGR for a 2.5 DI Diesel 4 Aug 2002 (Forum)
  Can anyone please tell me how to check and set-up the EGR on a Ford 2.5 litre DI Diesel engine? I have a Haynes manual, but it is not very helpful and several mechanics that I have asked simply have not known. I suspect that the EGR may be defective / not set correctly as the exhaust is showing some black smoke.

  Sister no. 2 has an M-reg 2 litre Ford Probe. It is proving very efficient at draining the battery of power. If she leaves the car unused for 3 or 4 days, the battery goes flat, even after a period of repeated long trips. The car has been into several garages for investigation, but the problem is still there.
