  Hi, My Ford KA failed its MOT on front subframe mounting corrosion. I am thinking of replacing the front subframe. I don't have a haynes manual to hand, could anybody tell me the procedure envolved and if the engine will have to be removed.

  Ford Focus 2008 1.6 tdci zetec I have engine malfunction coming on when I start the vehicle . No loss of power or other symptoms . I can drive 100 yards down the road flick ignition switch on /off and it will clear , but if I stop and then restart the fault re appears .

  Hi   I have the Ford Lehman/Dover 4.1L fitted in my boat; it suddenly lost half of the oil without any obvious signs of leakage. The dipstick was loose in its mounting tho'.   Could I have some form of blockage which is pressurising the sump??

  I am considering using this method of buying a Ford Kuga. You rent the car for 10 days and if you decide to buy then they deduct the rental cost. Seems like a good way of getting a vehicle checked out before buying, at what seems a resonable price.

  I have a 2010 Mondeo diesel, I have noticed that the top of the rear bumper is getting marked in the left and right corners, apparently from the boot lid, there is a good gap when boot is closed and I do not slam boot closed hard. Is this a common problem, will Ford cover it as part of warranty, or is there a simple fix. Any information welcome.

  I don't know when Ford started fitting their 'smart' charge system. I know that lead/acid isn't advisable with it, but how do I tell if 'smart' charge. The handbook doesn't help.

  I have a G reg 1989/90 Ford Fiesta 1.3 OHV.  Starts ok, runs ok but does not idle and will stall as you come up to a junction and stop.  I have stripped the carb, blown out the jets, etc, etc. Re-assembled with gasket sealer between carb and manifold but no better.

  Just heard on the local radio in leeds ford car stereo's are been nicked for some chip inside that works in sky digital boxes to get all channels? The radio station reporter says this won't happen and asking folk to take there fronts off the radios.

  My Ford Focus heater fan will only work on switch setting number 4 and then the A/C doesn't work on that setting. Could it be the resistor pack, and if so where is it located? Thanks in advance! The B man . . .

  hi to all good news for ford tdci ownersi have discovered that you can buy a dmf conversion for your tdci enginesthey retail at around £240 cash n carry this gets rid of the dmf and converts it to standard three piece clutch (old skool)hope this is helpful to you all
