  Hi, I have a faulty stereo on my Ford Focus. I have found a Ford Technical Bulletin and I am 99% sure it covers my fault.(Stereo not turning on after battery replacement).  I am booked in to the main Ford dealership but they have advised I will need to pay a £65 charge.

  Hi Just bought a used ford ka for £740, 12 years old with a mileage of 49k. Its a bit battered but was happy with it as a second car. When I got home I had a terrible thought - the odometer only has 5 digits and so only goes up to 99,999.

  Does anyone know why my Ford does not store the fault codes. It overhaeated a year ago and an warning lamp plus overheat message came up on the dashboard but the Ford agent said no codes stored. Today it shut down to low power when booting it up a hill, and gave a "engine system failure warning" plus a red light.

  I replaced my 1.8 NA engine(58 hp) cambelt. I got a gates kit, and the new belt is not as wide as the Motorcraft belt from Ford. Also, it is fitted too close to the pulley edge inward and the belt gets hot under operation.Is this normal? Any suggestion about how to check the tension using thumbs is welcome.   I regassed the air con at 50 000 miles and all was ok. I noticed that it was not working very well a few weeks ago and had it re gassed at a ford main dealer. It made no difference. I have now done 100 000 miles The air con still works but is not very cold. At over 21 C outside temperature the air coming into the car is luke warm. Any ideas?

  We have a Ford Escort Van 55 (2000, W Reg) and the Diesel pump has broke. We have been told to get another Diesel pump from a car breakers yard & have been advised that the Diesel pumps off the older Escort Vans are better as they don't have an immobiliser on them.

  Hello, I have a 1994 1.8 Diesel Ford Fiesta. I am experiencing a very strange problem. At times the engine just goes on and increases in revs. If I am on a low gear, 1st or 2nd, it literally jumps forward like it was boosted and suddenly it dies down.

  Hi, I am trying to decide between a ford focus petrol manual vs a VW Golf diesel auto. The disadvantage with the focus (1.6) is that it is supposed to give an mpg of only 30-32 on the motorway at near 70  mph. I will be doing significant amount of motorway miles.

  I took my 2002 ford fiesta in to be serviced today at my local Ford garage, and while changing the oil the sump plug would not go back in. The garage said the threads had gone on the sump and I now need a new sump cost £105 - has anyone heard of this happening to the Ford Fiesta 1.4 d zetec before?

  Hi - I'm looking at a rear mount cycle carrier for my ford fiesta 5dr 1.25 zetec, W reg (2000).   I've just been told the dual mass flywheel needs replacing - noisy when idle and getting much worse. I've googled and seen a reference to a Ford design fault where they scrimped on the 03/04 model - can anyone expand on this as I would like to take it up with Ford as after only 47k miles I'm not happy with a £1000 quote. Would like to hear from anyone who has taken on Ford with DMF problems....

  Unless I am colour blind, my (Y) manual petrol Zetec Focus power steering fluid seems darkish (maroonish ??) in tank. I need topup. Handbook states any fluid should be to Ford spec WSA-M2C-195-A. Cannot get recommended fluid apart from expensive Ford main dealer. Halfords have got fluid ESP-M2C-166H for Ford vehicles but it states it has a red dye. Is it safe to topup Halfords into existing fluid ?

  Just bought a Ford Fiesta (2004) & it has the 4500CD/Radio fitted, the one that's completely integrated into the dash. Unfortunately the garage I bought the car from didn't have the "keycode". Does anyone know where the "serial number" is located on the CD unit as I need it to get the keycode from Ford --- hoping to not have to remove the complete dashboard to find it !!!
