• Ford Galaxy - Which MK3 Ford Galaxy diesel engine? 17 Mar 2011 (Forum)
  Hi there, I'm about to purchase a Ford Galaxy for between 9 and 11 K, 3-4 year old model with average mileage. I want a diesel but not sure which of the four diesel engines to go for. Is it worth getting the extra power in the 2.0 diesels?

  I'm sure some of you read the new Fiesta review in last Saturday's (6th) Telegraph. Did anyone pick up on the comment from the (named) Ford Project Manager with respect to dual mass flywheels? To quote: "We want to get rid of those things - they're expensive, heavy and they go wrong". Unless this an off-the-record comment isn't it a bit unusual these days for a major manufacturer to make such an admission that the technology it uses might not be particularly reliable?

  I went to a historic car rally recently and saw a Model T Ford. The car looked like it had just been discovered in a barn so shabby it stood out from all the pristine, done up to perfection other entries. The owner had the bonnet open to show the engine and I could hardly believe what I saw.

  Does anyone know of a reliable Ford specialist within a reasonable radius of Sunderland. My daughter's Fiesta 1.25 Zetec hesitates when using throttle at low revs. Doing a forum search suggests it may be the throttle position sensor at fault but I would rather the car be checked for fault codes and properly diagnosed than just have one component after another replaced.

  new style FORD FOCUS. CD6000 has an AUX facility for analouge input, but if the car does NOt come pre wired to use this , Ford tell me "it cant be retrofitted". It can only be a plug and 2 wires to get an external device wired into the radio.

  Has Ford released a new Ford Transit? Can't find anything on their website but I'm sure I saw something very transit sized with Ford badges on it, parked up just off the M62 today. Much rounder front, along the lines of the Mercedes Sprinter, but you can't really get away from the box shape for the rest of it!
