  Hi guys. I have an 08 Ford Fiesta, and one of the rear wheel bearings has broke. Does anyone have an estimate of how much it would cost to get a garage to replace it? I'm not skilled enough to do it myself, but i've been stung by dodgy garages before.

  Hi, I need to replace the starter motor on my 1.8 TDCi 2004 Ford Focus but I can't find it. The manual I have says the bolts should be below the air filter but I've taken it off and can't find them / see the starter motor.

  hi all ive got a 52 plate 1.8 tdci ford focus estate wich has got 111000 miles. Recently ive had a misfire wich has been getting worse. this misfire baffles me, its only there when its cold, but when the car warms up it seems to disapear.

  My ford mondeo has been giving me this nagging problem,its losses power when driving.i turn the engine off and back on then it fine again for a while.then losses power again.noticed the temperate gauge does not move at all.The heating is working fine.My mechanic blocked of the ERG valve but this problem still persist.has anyone experience this?

  ., oil pump gasket failed (oil pump hopefully O.K) needing urgent replacement, which is NOT covered by Ford extended warranty -  £550 !! Dealer also insists cambelt to be replaced . Is this reasonable as well ?

  Hi folks, just picked up a 2002 Ford KA as a winter runaround tonight. Just after some advice as the brakes take a fair bit of force to operate, and noticed on the previous MOT theres an advisory mentiong front brake imbalance. Anyone have any ideas of what this might be before I have a look myself so I have an idea what to look for.

  Hi, iv got got a ford fiesta 1.25 W Reg and recently the car has struggled a few times trying to go into 3rd gear from 4th when having to slow down.   It dont go into 3rd so i have to release clutch and do it again but its like its trying to go through sludge when doing this but eventully it does and it carries on fine     what could be causing this?

  hi my car has died and can't seem to get it to run again! b***** thing. it is a 2002 ford ranger 2.5 diesel. it has an error code of 6241 coming up on a diagnostics computer. i believe this is something to do with the imobiliser ? but no idea really!  It wont do anything at the mo and i need to move it from a car park.. all ideas received gratefully/ Paul

  Is it possible to fit An amplifier to a 97 reg ford escort which has a factory fitted 6000 rds E-on radio in it, And can anyone give me a clue what the green socket is for at the back of unit is for, And the small socket in between the two main black socket's, Dont wanna really take out radio for another one.

  After ongoing issues with my car and the dreaded flashing glow plug light, the diesel specialist garage has said that it is the boost pressure wastegate which is the problem. They have said that they cant be bought seperately and Ford will only sell it alongside a new Turbo unit for £1000. Is there anywhere where these can be obtained?

  We have a ford escort 1989 auto 1.6. Only done 63,000 miles coolant last changed over 10 years ago. There is no discolouration but Ford no longer makes coolant we used. Ours is dark blue in coolant tank. I read new coolant from Ford isn't suitable for old models.

  How do I remove the plastic cover to an interior light on the transit. Assume it may be the same as some other Fords. It has a small slot that I can put a slim screwdriver through but I have wiggled this about and can't seem to find any clips. Any ideas?

  I seem to remember that a number of years ago Ford stated that by about the beginning of 2002 (IIRC) they would be fitting DAB digital car radios in all new Fords sold in the UK. It's now the second half of 2005 and no sign of this policy/promise being fulfilled.

  Having spoken at length with Ford I have been told that Ford are nto going to do anything as they believe they built what the dealer ordered.   Upon questioning the details on the invoice which showed the wrong type of oil, I was told that they had actually used Castrol Edge 5W40 oil. After a bit of internet research I have found out that this oil does not meet the required Ford specification and is classified as ACEA B4 which also does not meet the requirements as detailed in the owners manual. Ford require either Ford oil, or that which meets the Ford specification or ACEA A1/B1 or A3/B3.
