  Hi All. I'm new to Ford DIY...   Car: Ford Focus 2004 1.6v petrol Engine: FYDB I just changed the cambelt on my girlfriends Ford Focus and now the valves seem to hit the pistons on cylinders 2 and 3.

  Hi all, We've got a 2009 Ford Fusion with tiptronic style gearbox, 37,000 miles. It broke down while driving the other day and gives 'Transmission Error' on the dash. Local Ford garage has looked at it and diagnosed the following codes: P0919 P1799 C1222 U0404 The quote is £1000-£3000 to fix.

  From two weeks after taking delivery of my secondhand Fiesta automatic there were "clunking" noises coming from the engine compartment at slow speeds (10-20mph) from a cold start.  Seven visits to my local Ford Dealer and examination by Ford Technical and software updates have not identified or solved the problems. I get the feeling that Ford knows of these issues with its Powershift dual clutch mechanism (not only in UK) but is unwilling to acknowledge let alone resolve the problem.

  Hi Guys. I'm trying to find out some thing about Ford Focuses from 2008 and newer. If I have 2 x 2008 Ford Focus in front of me and one says powershift and the other does not but both are 'automatic' and the powershift focus is a 6 speed dct does that mean that the non powershift focus is a 4 speed.

  I have taken the sony cd changer from my Mk 11 Mondeo to fit in my 03 TDCI EST according to the Ford manual the radio is cd autochanger enabled but has nowhere to plug in the ford interface lead, does anyone know if it is possible to modify or if there is any plug adaptors for fitting to the radio connectors?

  Hi  can anyone confirm if the Ford replacement of the Instrument Cluster for £99 is still in effect as mine has now started to go wrong, in 2008 watchdog and Ford agreed to exchange it as they produced a new version to fit in Ford cars from 1998-2005.

  Anyone else had problems with a Fiesta gearbox. Car is less than 4 years old, 38K miles, full Ford service history. Unable to get into 1st gear and dealer has diagnosed a replacement gearbox. Car is obviously out of warranty but a gear box should not fail at this age/mileage. Ford have offered a token gesture, but I am still facing a bill of £1500 (+ extra if I have a new clutch)

  Hi Everyone, Recently purchased a 2003 Ford Mondeo Estate with only one key.That one key opens the car and starts the car no problems and has a blue tab in a top corner of the key but no fob of any sort to open the car remotely. Now before i call a Ford dealership on Monday does anyone have any advice on how and what i need to do to obtain a fob to open the vehicle without going throught the dealership?

  Can anyone advise me regarding whether or not Ford have finally cured the leaking roof problems on the Focus CC with the new model. I am about to take receipt of a brand new CC3 next week and keep reading disturbing reports that Ford have still not found a solution.

  The car is been to the Ford main dealer 10 TIMES !!!...they can't find the fault with it. I think the switch for the kickdown is going, the Ford dealer says this is ok. Does anybody have any ideas ? Ford Granada/Scorpio, Model 1992 2.0 DOHC automatic Thanks in anticipation.

  Hi, All. Looking to possibly buy a 2012 Ford Galaxy 1.6T Ecoboost and was wondering what your average MPG was around town and on a run. Obviously the site says 35mpg but would like some more in depth opinions.   I was looking at the 2.0tdci but with bristols new emissions zone I thought it might be better to get a petrol.

  Hi, just looking up the price of oil and filter for my galaxy gearbox and was surprised at the cost of ford oil, looking on eBay there is Exxon oil and a genuine ford filter which is half the price of ford. Wondering if anyone has used this before or any other oil. Thanks in advance for any info or advice.

  I need to replace the 'outside air temperature sensor' on my mk3 2008 Ford Galaxy 2.0 tdci. Could you tell me where it is located please. Also does it have any bearing on the running of the car or is it simply to tell you the outside temperature. Thanks

  Sorry, same ol' same ol' ... Irecently bought a 2nd hand ford focus.  The previous owner didn't have the code for the car radio.  I had to change the battery and now can't get the radio to work.  Any ideas how to find the code without having to pay bucket loads for it?

  Help anyone! I changed battery of my ford mondeo and have no idea what the code is as I bought the car 3rd hand a few years ago. I tried removing the radio so I can get the serial number but it stuck even the guys at Halfords couldnt pull it out. can I get the code using the reg# and chasis#?

  At slow speeds our Fiesta powershift gearbox makes unacceptably loud clunking noises which Ford UK states are "normal" - we disagree having driven four other identical vehicles which did not make such noises. Does anyone else have the same problems?
