• Nissan Micra (2003 - 2010) - 07 1.2 Juddering when pulling off on cold days 18 Mar 2009 (Forum)
  I have a nissan micra 2007, when I start moving off on a cold morning the car judders quite strongly. I have to put the clutch back in and move off very slowly with high revs. If after about 10 minutes of driving I have to stop at a junction its fine when I pull away.

  This is a bit of a strange one and I don't know if anyone will even be interested, but here goes! I have fitted a s14 200sx engine and gear box into an e30 bmw, in the nissan everything ran fine, I have put everything in the bm including the full wiring harnes. When I start the car with the afm disconnected it will rev fine up to 2500 where it seems to hit a rev limiter, as soon as I reconnect the the afm it struggles to idle and won't rev at all.

  This is proving to be a real headache as the Sat Nav wont show up and the Air Con is now on all the time and I can not turn it off, Nissan want a hefty sum to look at it which is money I just don't have. Does anybody have an Idea as to why the screen wont come on and the air con wont turn off any help would be most appreciated. Thanks

  Nissan Primera 1.8 P11-144, X-plate, 200+K miles. When the weather is dry, after the car has been for a decent run (say more than 20 miles), a grinding noise can be heard on acceleration. Take the foot off the gas, or dip the clutch, and it goes away.

  I have a 1995 Nissan Primera 1.6 SLX. I intend to add a coolant-leak additive as I think I have a small leak somewhere in the system. Can anyone give me some tips as to how to get the most out of it. Someone suggested running the car with the cap off for a bit while it circulates.

  Ive got a 1994 Nissan micra, which has started to jerk and stutter after a few miles driving. the car has had a service and has been checked over (plugs, distributor cap? etc) by a mechanic who cant seem to identify the problem. apart from the jerking which starts off intermittingly then with continued driving becames regular until it stalls or i have to pull over. the car sounds ok and there aren't any warning lights. please help as i havent got a lot of cash to spend at the moment and being charged for a diagnostic and the problem still remains is not fun. all help appreciated.

  When she fired it up she couldn't believe that the exhaust seemed to be blowing badly on a brand new car. Took it to the local Nissan dealer only to find that someone has taken the time to lie under the vehicle and saw off the part of the exhaust that contains the cat converter. Apparently they are after the precious metal (platinum?)
• Nissan Note (2006 - ) - 2006 1.5 CD player will not eject 14 May 2008 (Forum)
  Wonder if anyone else has come across this and even better has a solution that does not involve a trip to the workshop. The CD player with in dash 6 CD changer unit on my 56 reg Nissan Note will not load or eject CD's. When I start it the message comes up 'Checking Trays' which it just keeps scrolling. It will however play the CD's and change discs happily enough, it is just the load/eject function which appears at fault and the continuously scrolling message.

  I have a 94 Nissan Primera. From the past 2/3 days, I noticed that it makes an annoying noise (Like a wind before a storm) right at the end of the braking zone, whenever I brake. I can feel that the noise is clearly coming from the rear tyres/brakes.

  Please could anyone advise me, as I can't find any information on this anywhere? I recently returned to the UK after spending 5 months in Cyprus. I had bought a (2002) Nissan Micra whilst in Cyprus and shipped it over here in October. Now that I have it insured, do I have any period of grace in which to drive it on the highway? Secondly, I wish to register the car but am having problems completing the paperwork.

  I have a '95 Nissan Primera 1.6 SRI on which I am trying to find a reason for occasional drop off of power. On removing the air inlet duct to check for any partial blockage I have found a 2cm dia. round hole located on the outside of the bend, between the resonator the front of the duct, as the duct passes the outside corner of the battery.

  After around 10 to 20 seconds there are 2 short beeps from the passenger footwell / centre gear lever console area. The Nissan Sat Nav was disabled before I bought the car - could it be searching for a CD for the Sat Nav or is it something else. It sounds more like a reminder type sound rather than a warning sound. Am I being stupid, is it some car stereo sound ?

  Her dad taped the wires up with insulating tape and re-attached the wiring to its bracket. Co-incidentally (or not?) the engine management light has been coming on ever since. Nissan dealer charged them £40 to plug it into the computer and no fault codes were stored. Is it likely that I'm right in thinking the lambda sensor may be shorting out, sending back a dodgy signal to the ECU, and putting the orange light on?

  Hi I recently bought a 04 reg primera, within 1 week of driving i noticed a groaning noise coming from the front of the car who i try and move slowly in first gear, the best explanation i can give is when edging out from between parked cars with foot still on clutch and little power given on acceleration the groaning starts The car groans for a few seconds and when i increase power it disapears ? Brought it back to a Nissan Dealer,said there is nothing wrong with the car and it will disapear over time, but the noise is getting worse and more frequent has anyone any clues or pointers on the problem,its getting really annoying

  On examination it was discovered that there was a problem with either the seals or the turbo itself. It was then taken on the truck to the nissan dealer where it is awaiting a new turbo. I bought the x-trail after a lot of research and am now disappointed that this has happened. I would be really grateful to know if anyone has had this problem or any other problems with this model.

  Hi, mum has a 1992 (K) Nissan Sunny, 1600cc GLX Automatic. Visited her today and had look over it for her, I noticed smoke around the right-hand side of the engine.....on closer inspection I found the smoke was coming from under the air filter housing lid!!

PS Does the very soft accelerator on the C4 get tiring after a while?

  Having been told that my new job will require a company car, I now have to choose from Renault Laguna, Vauxhall Vectra or Nissan Primera. I'll be doing 30-35k miles a year on mostly motorway or fast rural roads. Without having any particularly good reason, I think I prefer the Primera to the other two. I'm now confronted by choice of spec and totally confused.

  Hi there, I've got my mind set on the Nissan Almera, as it seems to be a good first car buy (95-98 range) : - Cheap insurance (£860 from endsleigh with 0 ncd) - Cheap - Late 80's styling but practical , so theft chance low - Reliable from all reports read - Comfortable - On paper , 40MPG for petrol 1.4 My main curiosity is how the car runs on the motorway.
