  (This is the reason Nissan releases map updates once year as they need time to adjust the maps from HERE for our system usage like NC2Kai).To confirm which version you have in your Nissan Qashqai, please contact your Nissan dealership or if you can, please check the date on the SD card itself.
• Nissan Qashqai+2 - Engine warning light, both traction control lights 16 May 2025 (Forum)
  As I was driving it home, the red engine warning light came on, and both traction control lights have come on. It also appears to be raining diesel out the bottom of the car. I have a 60 plate Nissan Qashqai +2 1.5 Diesel. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Darren

Looks like it needs replacing and painting, and apparently there’s something wrong with the boot lock that the bumper damaged has caused? The price of the bumper being £99 is something that sounds reasonable.

  Nissan x trail has slight miss on cold start  and knocks on accelaration  knock disapears after 15 to 20 miles at first I thought it was a small end but now I'm thinking it maybe somwhere on the fuel / injectors  dose not smoke or use excessive oil nor over heat or lose water.

  T minus 9 days and counting to arrival of the 15 Nissan Qashqai with the electronic handbrake, a system I am not familiar with. My research has left me happy how to deal with normal stop/start on level ground but somewhat perplexed as to stopping and starting on a very STEEP HILL.

  I just bought a second hand Nissan Micra Spirita (2006) and the passenger door in the front will not open from the inside. It's almost like there's a child lock on the door but I couldn't see anything obvious. It opens fine from the outside.

  I have been looking at buying a diesel Nissan Note. I was looking at one today that was 1 year old, and took it for a test drive. I noticed it was quite a smelly car outside with the engine running. It smelled strongly of diesel exhaust when I was swapping places with the salesman, and back at the garage when the engine was running.

   I have recently purchased a Nissan Note 1.4 with 33k on clock.It ran perfectly for one week returning 48mpg.Out of blue engine felt a little lumpy with power tending to surge when pressing the throtte.Fault appeared to disappear as I was going to return it to the garage then later that night the fault returned & the engine management light came on,Does anyone have any ideas what the problem is before I call in at the garage as they may try to fob me off.

  I recently spent a couple of hours in a Nissan service area reception (don't ask), and was surprised by the number of Navara owners asking when their motors would be ready. It seems they have a problem around the rear half-shaft area - mentioned in HJ's car-by-car breakdown.
• Nissan X-Trail - Fuel leak 2 Nov 2012 (Forum)
    Took to local mechanic who says the lift pump from the tank has failed and needs to be repleced.  Nissan apparently quoting £350 for the part and no aftermarket alternative - seems very expensive for what it is.  Has anyone seen this before or have any ideas for an alterntive solution that might be cheaper.

  On the same trip, I've just seen 61.8mpg in the 2012 car. Performance doesn't seem to have suffered and the new car seems much quieter. Nissan should be singing from the roof tops about this!
• Nissan X-trail - Oh No Unleaded Instead Of Diesel 13 May 2011 (Forum)
  Hi Guys, the other half Unleaded up today instead of Dieseled up, fortunately there was quarter of a tank of diesel in the car already and she only drove 200yds to her work before realising the mistake so no white smoke belching out the back..... the plan is to syphon the tank, change filters and then diesel back up .... the question is its a 2002 Nissan X-trail is this fitted with an anti syphon device on the tank? and if it has how do I get round this.... thanks in advance.....Ed

  Hiya recently purchased a nissan micra on a L reg, 1.3 really nice car untill the other day was going down a dual carriage way ant seeing what i could get out of it. basically putting my foot down. then all of a sudden, a puff of black smoke out of exhuast and total loss of power. car turns over fine but wont restart after that.

  It sounds as if it is coming from the left (passenger) side of the engine bay. I've had it from new in January 2004, and it's done about 40,000 miles, regularly serviced at Nissan dealers. Any ideas?
• Nissan Almera (2000 - 2006) - 2002 1.5 Oil problem with spark plugs 15 Jul 2008 (Forum)
  I checked the gaskets round the plugs and they seem fine. I refuse to believe that the pistons or piston rings can be worn on a Nissan this young (2002) so Im going to change the PCV valve on it. Is there anything else that can cause the oil to leak into the combustion chamber and onto spark plugs? Can anyone help?
• Nissan Maxima QX (2000 - 2004) - 2001 QX A33 - defective key fob 31 Jan 2008 (Forum)
  One of my ( two ) key fobs is defective in that it will not "open" the alarm/central locking ( it otherwise works ). Nissan tell me I have to take the car plus both fobs to them for the defective fob to be reprogrammed. Now always ready to save a buck, I wonder if anybody knows if this is a job you can do yourself. Thanks in anticipation.

  Friend's Nissan Primera has terrible front wheel wobble at motorway speed. I put it down to unbalanced wheels, so made sure she put new tyres on the front, but wheels are still wobbling. So, having eliminated poorly balanced wheels, what else could be causing the problem?

  The other few niggles is that there is a bit of rust on the front valance and the garage is changing the cambelt before sale. I am not well up with Nissan's but surely it is too premature to change the belt? Either its clocked and he knows its about to snap or he just wants to be certain there will be no come back? Just wanted some advice.

  My insurer's glass people don't repair them and none of the other companies I have called repair them either. My insurer told me to take it to the dealer and claim the money back, but Nissan want getting on for £800 to replace it and this is more than the car is worth so my insurer won't authorise it. Does anyone know of a cheaper alternative. How easy is to remove one from a scrapyard and replace mine?
