• Nissan Primera p12 - Sloppy gearstick and not returning to centre 4 Aug 2011 (Forum)
  The gearstick in my Nissan Primera p12 seems slight sloopy and does not return to the centre. Can anyone advise me how to fix this? It looks like it has to be access from below the car to get access to the linkage. When I was under the car I shook the gear linkage and a slight rattling noise came from the gear stick linkage area.

  The latest is that the car will not start in the morning and when it does the engine is hunting, this happens every time the engine is idle, so at traffic lights it will rev for no reason. Taken to Nissan dealer and they do not know what the problem is!! Any ideas ?

  Hi All I have just got a Nissan Almera 2000-2002 Petrol 1.5L There are 2 vacum pipes which are dangling and not connected. This is in the area where the MAF sensor has been mounted on the inlet manifold. Also on the bracket thats used for mounting the MAF sensor has a shiny area with empty screw holes.

  i have got a nissan micra k11. it has manual transmission, a 1L engine and 47k on the clock on a 51 reg. here is a description of the issue: i have a constant whine when coasting (done only for test purposes!!)

  eyup i have an L reg nissan D21 pickup [For those who dont know, this is an older, uglier navara] and, as stated the revs, speedo and odomiter dont work at all. the rest of the dash, guages/lights etc work fine. also, when i put it into 4 wheel drive, there is no light on the dash to inform me i have done so, as there is on most 4x4's. is there supposed to be one on this model???

  please help, nissan almera tino 1.8 with a random misfire when under load, seems to be alittle rought at lidle too, the engine management light is on. we had it plugged into a computer for said computer to tell us what we allready knew - it has a random misfire - not much help there.

  Timing chain on my Nissan Almera got stretched so I agreed to paying £530 for it to be replaced but just got a call from garage saying the "variable valve timing hub" ceased up which caused the timing chain to stretch in the first place.

  I have a 12 year-old Nissan Primera, which is quite temperamental about getting into 1st. Clearning out my attic over the weekend, found an old AA Book of the Car dating back to early 80s. Learnt the art of double de-clutching, tried it, and 1st gear reluctance now cured!
• Nissan X-Trail (2001 - 2007) - 03 2.0 clunk near side rear on speed bumps 20 Aug 2008 (Forum)
  It produces a nasty clunk/boing over some speed bumps possibly combined sometimes with a grinding noise. I had nissan replace the roll bars but to no avail. I feel it is something jamming and releasing. It passed it MOT with flying colours - hat can it be?

  A friend has a Nissan Micra '03' 1.2 {SIGH put in the subject header as per the IGNORED requests to do so} and will be having it serviced by a mechanic (ex F1) rather than a local indie. The car has a service indicator on it and I've seen people say how easy it is to zero them.

  hi all: I have a 51 reg nissan almera se 1.8 the left-hand rear fog light isn't working (although right hand one is). I've changed the bulb, but still it doesn't work. I've put a volt meter across the contacts for the fog light, but it read zero, and the contacts don't seem dirty/oxidized.

  I am currentlydriving a Nissan X trail diesel and my wife has a old pug106 for work,the Nissan is parked up most of time and mainly used for towing with.I am thinking of selling Nissan it is worth around £9k and buying a Mini One around 2002 for my wife to use and a cheap diesel estate for towing.Anyway i don't know alot about the bmw Minis,what should i be looking for and what sort of fuel economy should i expect?

  Hi all, Posting on behalf of a the in-laws, who have an Almera fitted with the Birdview system. Apart from going through a Nissan dealer, does anyone know how they can get hold of updates for their Sat Nav? The car's a 53 plate, and they're going to Milton Keynes - where a lot of roads aren't on the Birdview (too new, apparently!)

  Well funds may soon be returning to the Thommo wallet and a worthy successor to the Supra may soon be needed. I have read much abour Nissan 200SX's lately and it seems you can have an R reg high spec (touring) one of these fire breathing monsters in sheeps clothing for about 2 1/2 Archers, which seems a fair bargain. Yes I have read the guide, although I'm not quite sure what a cxamshaft is, but does anyone have ownership tales to tell of these beasts?

  What strange Otherworld to these people inhabit? Example 1: Dear Honest John, I recently took my 12 year old Nissan Micra on a shopping expedition. Unfortunately the World War 2 landmine that I keep in the glove compartment detonated while I was in Woolworths, pulverizing the vehicle. My local Nissan dealer has refused to compensate me; should I expect a full refund from Nissan UK?

  Could anyone point me in the right direction re information on the carburettor, fitted to a 1990 Nissan Prairie Mk2. There is no Haynes manual for this model but, I understand that the same carb might be fitted to the Bluebird range. Could anyone confirm this ? What I really need is some guidance on setting up and checking the auto choke, ie, the electrically heated bimetallic coil which should (I think) close the choke flap on cold start up.

  How hard is it to replace a cam belt in a 1998 Primera with the CD20 diesel engine?, The reason I ask is that I have been quoted £220 at a Nissan Main Dealer, which also includes the alternator/water pump/AC compressor belts as well. I have usually found Halfords to cheaper in labour costs than main dealers, but found them only truely familar with mass market cars i.e.
