  Hi, A neighbour has a Nissan QX and due to visitors he had to shuttle his car out of his drive so the engine was only running for 30 seconds. No Prob, but the next day the car just would not start. It took the RAC two sets of big jumpers wide open throttle and 60 seconds of cranking and she fired up.

• Newshape Nissan Primera 2.2DCI Fault 16 Aug 2004 (Forum)
  Hi All, Just wondered if any other Nissan Primera 2.2 DCI owners (New shape) have had the same fault as I have just experienced. About a month a go I set of for work and soon as I put my foot down and the turbo kicked in the engine managment light came on and the car went on to limp home mode (Complete lack of power no turbo) I limped to the Nissan garage where they said there was a wire which had broken down which had something to do with the turbo.

  Our Nissan Note is now 15 years old and the breakdown cover provider we currently use (Eversure) does not provide cover for cars older than this. I'm wondering if anyone can suggest a company that would cover a car of this age?

  i have a problem with my blower heart. i was told it was the resistor. which i went out and brought but how do u chnage the resistor in a nissan primera. i was told its behind teh glove box but i jus cant seem to find it. i was told its an easy job to do. where can i find the resistor in the car. thank you

  Just had an MOT on my Nissan Note. It's come back with an advisory (amongst others) stating 'oil leak, not excessive; sump porous and corroded'. Could anyone recommend if this is something to repair urgently?  I've not seen any evidence of oil leaking onto the ground and for the record, I'm not intending to keep the car for much longer but still need to keep it running and would like to get a couple of quid for it when the time comes.

  Hi Grateful of some advice..... I'm trying to remove the oil sump from an 1998 Nissan Micra 1.0l. I've tried hitting with palm of my hand and with a hammer and a piece of wood  but it still won't budge. Is it just a matter of hitting it till the seal breaks ? I am also thinking of trying to break the seal by hammering a screwdriver between the mating surfaces...could I ossibly damage the mating surfaces by doing this ?

  Hi,  I have a 2009 plate Nissan Micra DCI (diesel) 1.5 engine.  Today I put 15W-40 oil in my engine when my car showed up 'oil low'.  After doing this I found out that my car actually is recommended to have 10W-40 oil.

  My wife has a Nissan Micra 1.2 (30K miles) which recently needed the power steering repaired.  I understand this is a quite common fault with Micras.  More recently the engine management light has appeared on the dashboard and the engine sometimes hunts quite badly.

  Hi all, I just wanted to report a fix for the sudden loss of power problem, you know the thing, your driving along and suddenly the car losses power it still works but it's almost as if the car has gone into a "limp home" mode, switching the engine on and off "solves" the problem, for a time anyway, Nissan wanted £1,200! for a new fuel pump, but  the culprit  (in my case) is a fuel flow regulator valve, fixed by my mechanic for £50.

  My wifes micra has the dreaded ps fault, i intend to order a replacement from BBA but they need the part number, is there any way i can get this without removing the other unit first? I have the cars vin number, would Nissan supply it to me? Any help appreciated, i'm looking to order in the morning and fit on saturday   Thanks for any help :)
