Ford Focus - leak after cambelt/water pump change 1 Jul 2019 (Forum)
I do not know, can't see, if it is the water pump spraying out water of if the reservoir itself is leaking. All I know is before I took the car in for a cam-belt and water pump change there was no leak in over six years I've owned it and after the change there is now a leak. Any ideas as to what could be the culprit? What are my entitlements for repair? (simply put they have caused this). -
Honda CR-V III (2007 - ) - Clunky gear change - Honda admits problem? 17 Sep 2017 (Forum)
I understand from the thread that they have developed a fix for the petrol models but, as of the beginning of the month (July 2009), were saying that a fix was about 6 weeks away for the diesel models. In the meantime, it appears numerous CRV owners have taken their cars back for oil changes, linkage changes, etc, but to no joy. http://www.crvownersclub.com/forums/showthread.php?p=51780 Anyhow, I need to take my car into my local Honda dealer this week - I assume I need to do this to make them aware of the fact now even though, according to the above link, there is now fix yet. -

Alternative energy not viable for decade 16 Dec 2006 (Forum)
Despite supply concerns, the company added that it foresees few problems bringing more oil and gas to market, and that the current price of oil is actually higher than it needs to be to bring oil to market. America's largest firms pledge to go green In a presentation to analysts, Jaime Spellings said that worldwide economic growth is expected to outpace Exxon's projected energy demands. -
Audi A5 - Faulty car not being repaired 2 Apr 2014 (Forum)
At this stage i still have the car unfixed and the dealer keeps changing his mind about the repair. He is now refusing to get the car repaired. I had enough going through the dealer and started a claim under section 75 through my bank. -

Vauxhall Vectra B facelift (1999 - 2002) - 98, 16v X20EV petrol auto. Shudder on idle. 12 Oct 2008 (Forum)
What I've done: cleaned throttle body, breathers into throttle body, front pipe breathers, camshaft cover ducts/breathers, checked for vac hose splits from air intake etc, cleaned idle control valve and even bought a new one too, checked egr valve and even blanked it to see if iany difference (now unblanked), new air filter, new fuel filter, new oil and oil filter. Diagnostics said cam sensor gone (which it was, revving was limited to 4500 rpm) - new cam sensor fitted. Still no difference. All I can note is that during the rough idle the idle valve voltage keeps going up and down between 9 v and 13 v continually cycling and the engine changes with this cycling. -
Focus 115 TDCi 9 Mar 2005 (Forum)
Does anyone here have experience of these problems with the focus and the 115 1.8 TDCi engine?? By the way the car has only done 35,500 miles is main dealer serviced and I change the oil and filter with approved Ford items in between the 12500 mile service intervals just as I feel the that the oil is just too dirty at 6000 miles. The car is a September 2002 built model. Any TSB's etc would be appreciated. -
Diesel on road 3 Sep 2004 (Forum)
I'm slightly suspect that they think ABS might have made it worse - careful braking has always kept me out of trouble and I didn't lock up the wheel that wasn't in the oil. However, the brakes on my brother's Megane are fantastic and I'd consider changing car if just stamping on the brakes brought me out of trouble like this. -
Astra H 1.6 petrol - Should I have my Repairs done? 8 May 2023 (Forum)
It’s a cracking car if I’m honest and is currently on 73,000 miles. It is now at the cambelt stage. Also I’ve been advised to have the camshaft pulleys changed to remove this annoying rattle in the engine bay. It is a common thing apparently on these. For maintenance purposes I’m also having the water pump, thermostat valve, coolant drain and refil, aux belt, rocker cover gasket, oil change and filters. -
Honda Fit 2006 - Honda Jazz problem ?EGR valve 19 May 2017 (Forum)
It never happens while cruising. However it does not happen every single time, it is inconsistent. Spark plugs have been changed and throttle cleaned. Apparently the coils are fine as well. The auto transmission oil was flushed late last yr due to the juddering problem which did seem to help it for a little while but then it came back. -
First fill of biodiesel 28 Apr 2013 (Forum)
As there was a frost last night, I get to find out pretty quickly whether or not there will be any problems starting up, not that I expect any. I do expect that when I change the oil and filter in roughly 1000 miles of driving, some, most or hopefully all of the sludge which has been building up on the bottom of the fuel tank will have been deposited on the old filter. -
Peugeot 607 (2000 - ) - 2002 2.0 hdi Turbo boost coming in late 12 Apr 2012 (Forum)
However the next day same problem. We have changed all the vacume sensors on the back wall of the engine bay. Checked the fuel filter. And the pipe still isnt preasurising at a lower range. The turbo is working you just have to drive the car at high revs to feel it coming in. -

A local garage has now replaced the water pump, along with the cam belt and tensioners, auxillary belt (and completed an oil change whilst they were in there!)... All this added up, but it was a cost I was willing to pay. The car is 10 years old with 115000 on the clock. 2.0 Ghia Auto zetec engine... My problem now? -
Toyota Yaris Queries 5 Oct 2006 (Forum)
for eg round about fuel lines, tank that would indicate its been removed to drain petrol. 2/ Does this model have a particle filter and diesel addive that has to be changed after so many miles and if so what would the costs be and at what millage should the filter, fluid be changed at??? im sure i heard some horror stories on the costs involved with this on a diesel although it wasnt a yaris. 3/ What would a typical life expectency be of a tubo unit - assuming serviced correctly and engine left to idel after hard run Petrol engines 4/ Is the 1.0 ltr yaris a 3cylinder like the aygo??? -
Beetle- Bad Buy? 20 May 2005 (Forum)
I have done some research and I'd be looking for an early 99/00 one with a budget of around £5k. I have read that there are problems with Oil Consumption on these engines? I was thinking of the 1.6L as it seems to be highly recom. for MPG. Is there any reason other than performance to choose a 2.0L? I gather that these engines are CamBelt driven, can anyone let me know what the change interval is please? -

Mitsubishi Outlander - Could it be a failed DMF on a SST (Dual Clutch)?? 20 Nov 2020 (Forum)
They think it could be the DMF, but are concerned that their computer won't talk to the Mitsubishi (possibly different software on identical hardware) so could end up immobilising my car. I would really appreciate thoughts on which way to jump :- 1) Get the gearbox oil changed again, £250, which may make no difference at all, it may fix it :-) as it could be the wrong fluid, or the change I had done has loosened "dirt" which is now causing issues - they have an external, replaceable filter and an internal one.
