Ford Focus - Squeaking noise above 30mph Ford Focus 16 May 2020 (Forum)
Hi all hope someone may be able to shed some light for me: Ford Focus, 2012, 1.6 petrol with just over 60k on clock. Recently serviced (oil change) in March 20, timing belt and pump changed Sept 19. Recently, when driving over 30mph I experience a squeaking noise, quite slight (can be hidden by a low volume conversation in the car). It is not heard at low speeds below 30mph. -

Astra 1.3cdti - Astra 1.3cdti lack of boost 29 Oct 2017 (Forum)
HI All Have searched lots of forums but yet to find definitive answer. Had the oil, fuel and air filter changed and after it, after a low buzzing noise from boost solenoid, the turbo stopped boosting and car became sluggish (don't think it was limp mode) Read the codes and were to do with MAF and EGR. -
VolkswagenJetta - VW Jetta 1.4 DSG 19 Dec 2015 (Forum)
Now i'm wondering if it's worth putting it in to an independant to have the Timing Chain checked out. I know the gearbox oil is changed at 40000 as it's only done 29000 would it be adviseable to change being as the car is nearly over 7 years old. I don't have the log book yet or would contact the previous owner to see if he has had any problems with the T/C or DSG. -
Vauxhall Meriva - Water Leakage 26 Oct 2012 (Forum)
My car was leaking water but i could not pin point the location as everything was dry including the floor. I was filling it before every journey. Had to change headlight bulb today after changing the bulb started the engine to check if everything is o.k. when all of sudden water started to flow from a small hole very close to the belt like a fountain and drained the tank in a couple of minutes. -

Renault Scenic (2003 - 2009) - Coolant life 21 Nov 2008 (Forum)
The Mégane used glycol, and the coolant changed every 20,000 miles or 2 years. The Scénic however requires coolant changes at 70,000 miles or seven years. -- yet is still apparently on a glycol-based fluid. Can anyone explain, please? -
Ford Dealer in USA 27 Sep 2007 (Forum)
Then "wipers are squeaky - $29". That kind of made me wonder about the other items! Anyway the transmission fluid, oil change, fuel and air filter change came to $275 inclusive. -

Full Service History? 5 May 2003 (Forum)
"Just had a full service,Sir" Service record stamped both for this service and last years. I checked the air filter and plugs and both had not been changed. (The air filter looks like it has never been changed) I am concerned that the oil and filter may also have been missed as there is no sign of the drain plug having been recently disturbed. I have not, as yet, looked at the brakes, although as the vehicle is of fairly low mileage, I don't expect any horrors. -
VW Polo 2018 95 PS - Front bumper replacement 1 Apr 2024 (Forum)
I could have a local bodyshop do it all, or buy the bumper myself, pay them to spray it, then pay a very good local indie garage to fit it. The local chap did some work on my suspension recently and fixed an oil leak without charge. I had seen some oil on my drive, so that was kosher. And a year back the VW garage said the rear brakes needed replacing, he took it in, didn’t change them, said they had more than 50% left. -
Renault Grand Scenic MK III 2010 - APPROX repair / diagnostic costs in this list 1 Apr 2023 (Forum)
* Very loud cracking doors - Door strap checks? and likely replacements of parts to 4 doors. * Oil and filter change. * Replacement 'hands free' key card. * Fog and / or water test to establish water ingress issues evidenced in two doors, beneath the underfloor passenger storage box (and possibly the dash area) * Brake pedal cover replacement. -
Peugeot 2008 - First service, lamb to slaughter 30 Oct 2020 (Forum)
For the first time in over forty years I have been obliged to book a 'service'. As far as I can tell it involves about thirty quid's worth of oil (3.5 litres, which actually doesn't need changing as it's only done 5,000 miles), an oil filter (about a fiver) and a few minutes worth of checks. Arbury Motors have quoted me £200 - " the prices are fixed by Peugeot". -
What's wrong with my Chrysler Voyager? 21 Nov 2016 (Ask HJ)

VW 1.2 Polo 54 plate 70,000 miles - Engine management light on 3 Nov 2016 (Forum)
I know these 3 cylinder engines suffer from number 3 miss fire due to sticky valves but you get the jerky tick over normally so I'm wondering if it's the pre cat lambda sensor. I change the oil as someone said give it a new oil service and plugs I did this and it ran ok for few weeks but the lights back on. I have had it plugged in and it has fault codes for mis Fire on cylinder, low battery drive and oxygen failure so fitted new battery I'm now fairly convinced it maybe the lambda sensor as the engine ticks and runs fine but the light stays on.
