Good value for money - problem with brakes!

Overall, the car performs well and returns decent MPG (around 55). Equipment levels are excellent for the price of the car.

The experience of owning the car has been ruined by a fault with the brakes (many others have the same issue - check the Mokka forums) that the dealer can't / won't repair. In cold weather the brake pedal sticks down after use following about an hour of driving. In hot weather the brake pedal gets stuck down all the time and the car is dangerous to drive at times. The brake lights are frequently still on after the car has been parked, due to the pedal not fully returning. Suspect the problem is due to heat expansion within the pedal box. The car has been back for repair twice already, the last time it was returned with no repair because the fault cant be identified. Vauxhall customer service have been contacted but have been of no help so far.

Looking at other reports, the problem only seems to affect Diesel models. A select few owners have got the problem fixed by a replacement pedal box - Vauxhall still refuse to acknowledge that the problem exists.
