Stunning car, great drive .. but expect it not to work for 30% of the year

I should be writing a glowing review , I loved the Misson E concept car, im a huge ev enthusiast, i've driven the teslas, bmws and then finally a stunning prestige electric car with amazing reviews. I could not wait to drive this car and im lucky enough to be able to afford one. The first drive was truly awesome, it is sooo quick and could not believe the way it corners , its stunning to look at, fits my 3 kids in the back comfortably and great great fun. If you drive it how you would like to drive it i was getting 210 miles so kind of ideal for me. I was the biggest advocate... and then ...

Bought May 21 Porsche Mid Sussex

August 21 - taycan turbo vehicle recall - car back to dealership for 2 days

First real issue was the sun roof cracking in summer 21, not porsches fault i think a stone but there were no replacement screens available. Porsche blamed impact of covid on supply so maybe cut them some slack, but net result for me is no car for 6 weeks until glass roof delivered .

Second issue - Dec 21 - Porsche West London - Electric heater blew, as i think is common knowledge (although of course no confirmation by Porsche, google owner reviews) the heaters is taycans blow on any model higher than a taycan S in winter. I believe all heaters on all models blow if you have lights on, and windscreen clearer on full and accelerate on all models the heater blows. This seems to be on all taycans so of course mass shortage on electric heaters. My car at dealership for 7 weeks until i had to beg for dealership to give me the first supply to the UK from Germany.

Spring 22 - Taycan recall - car needed back to dealership for 2 days

Dec 22 - Porsche West London - Electric heater blew, exact same issue as before, currently no replacement electric heaters available in UK waiting for part from Germany in line with hundreds of other taycan owners across the UK. Current estimate is i get my car back end January.

For good measure Porsche phoned and advised first service due. I got the vehicle new in May 21, log book says May 21 but apparently first service due from import date not registration date which was Dec 20! I've done 6k miles and first service quote ..... £1791 !

Its a absolute joke, owned the car 19 months and through design faults not had the car for almost five of these months. I think in hindsight with it being not just a first version for a model but a big technical advancement for porsche i should have expected the big teething issues, but you dont expect to pay this much for something you wont actually have for a large proportion of the time.
