Does everything you want but no frills

I will give an honest review of this car having just bought one and done nearly 1000 miles. Whenever you buy a car there is always compromise. Yes this car is a van with seats in the back, but what you get in return is a massive amount of space for a car that is less than average length. The choice was between this and a conventional estate, but after looking at the estates, they are difficult to lad things in and out of the boot and there are no sliding doors. These two points are very important especially with children and car seats. You are not arching your back around a door or bending at 90 degrees to get something out the back of a boot.

The good points of the car, economic engine, yes its 1.3 diesel, not going to accelerate like a rocket but around town feels fine, and on the motorway can cruise at 50/60/70 no problem. The economy is best around 50-60 crusing, and i believe it is possible to get the published figures, remembering that as soon as you add weight or get closer to 70mph the fuel economy will drop. Im average about 57mpg, with mixed use.

Space as already mentioned, but you do have the option to completely remove the rear seats. High driving position. This has several advantages and you know why people like 4x4's. Visibility is excellent and the mirrors are straight from the van so they too are excellent far better than car mirrors. Good level of kit on the Dynamic model, including usb charging or connectivity, roof bars etc.

Bad points, some people may not like the looks. It is not quick off the mark. New seems pricey but second hand is better value. But cheaper second hand than scenic etcs. The large boot hatch, I have seen some new qubos with the van style two doors at the back and personally i would prefer this.

Overall I think this is a good car. It does everything you need it to unless you want to go very quick. Yes the styling is a personal taste but I like it. The main advantages of this car over others are the low running costs, the space, but also being shorter than other larger family cars means parking is made a ,ot easier. I would advise anyone looking for a new car to at least go and look at this car and maybe test drive.

In the review I have not given 5 stars just becuase it does not have all the luxarieslike much more expensive cars.
