I hate this car with a passion!

I truly regret buying this awful car! Despite only covering 2858 miles its covered in swirl marks, chips and scratches. If someone brushes past it the car picks up new marks, if I drop a piece of paper on it the paints chipped, if the wind blows too hard it looks like someone's washed it with a scouring pad.

The side skirts are also coming off at both ends. They're only attached with cheap double sided tape. This gets worse when the weather is hot as I assume they expand and pull away from the bodywork in the heat. According to the dealer they're all like that. The Abarth body kit really is flimsy and cheaply made, more like something a boy racer would buy off of Halfords, Amazon or even Wish, it's that bad!

The paintwork and cosmetic quality is truly the worst I've seen on any car. When i raised the paintwork/cosmetic issues with the dealer they seemed surprised that i had expectations of them caring about anything to do with the cosmetics of the car at all! I had a look round their second hand and nearly new stock and all had 'heavily swirled, excessively marked paintwork and poor fitting and peeling side skirts.

If you're a car enthusiast who remotely cares about how their car looks even 5 minutes older than new, then avoid these like the plague.

Fuel consumption is terrible despite it not being driven hard at all. I regularly get as high as 21mpg. This means with the silly small fuel tank, I am a regular visitor to the local petrol station.

The MTA transmission is also r******. I'm not so much bothered by the slow, jerky 'nodding dog' shifting but by the fact that despite me being extra careful not to ride it at stops and shift down to first using the paddles when going over speed humps etc. the clutch is already starting to judder. I've driven a dealer car and it juddered heavily on pull away. According to them they also, all do this.

There is a distinct whine my from the rear somewhere above 50mph, which increases in intensity as the speed picks up. This is also something the dealer says is just a characteristic of these cars.

The rear fog light fell out because the holder into which it screws is just glued into the back bumper. I assumed the screws where loose but no, it was still screwed into the holder which came unstuck from the inside of the bumper.

The dealer seems interested only in extracting money from me and once that's done they put any problem down to 'that's just how they are sir '. The warranty is essentially worthless for anything other than the engine falling out because everything else is just 'a characteristic of these cars'.

I'm now actively trying to get rid of this wretched car without taking too much of a bath. When i rang up the very same dealer who sold it to me they had the gall to tell me that there's an over supply problem of off lease, second hand units and i shouldn't get my hopes up of getting even three quarters of what I paid three months ago.

Absolutely there are some goods things about the car. Performance and roadholding are great! It sounds fantastic and draws lots of attention from adults and children alike. Does it make the car tolerable to own, sadly not!
