Skoda Octavia GreenLine 'perfect for company car drivers'

Mon, 15 Jun 2009
Company vehicle drivers looking at buying a car may want to check out the most recent addition to Skoda's range.

The manufacturer has claimed the Octavia GreenLine and a diesel version of the same auto could be ideal for business users.

Product marketing manager Christopher Horrell stated: "They are designed purely and simply to reduce impact on the environment, which in turn will lower fleet running costs."

The GreenLine edition of the car boasts CO2 emissions of 114 g/km, while the diesel 1.6 TDI CR Octavia also releases less than 120 g/km of CO2.

As a result, anyone buying the models will be entitled to pay £35 per year in road tax.

Meanwhile, Skoda pointed out, the monthly company car statutory charge for owners of the GreenLine edition - who fall within the 40 per cent tax payers band - is £69.62.

In related motoring news, the manufacturer recently announced it had increased the scrappage scheme discount on its Octavia line-up.
