Mitsubishi Recalls Grey Evos

Thu, 19 Jul 2001
Mitsubishi has announced a recall of all Lancer Evolution IV and Evo V models built between December 1996 and July 1998 that have reached the UK. The recall involves replacement of the Anti Yaw Control ECU which has been improperly programmed. This controls the power split to the left and right rear wheels. If it were to fail, the clutches in the differential would not engage and could cuase damage to the rear axle diff. Owners will be written to via the DVLA asking them to contact their nearest official Mitsubishi dealers. (Please note photo shows the latest EVO VII. Evo V1s and VIIs are NOT affected by this recall.)
