Goodwood Festival of Speed: Rolls-Royce Wraith launched

Published 11 July 2013

Rolls-Royce has unveiled the new Wraith coupe at the Goodwood Festival of Speed. The 633PS monster can cover 0-60mph in just 4.4 seconds and will cost a hefty £250,000.

Based on the Ghost, the new Rolls-Royce uses a twin-turbo 6.6-litre V12 engine that's mated to an eight-speed ZF auomatic ‘box. The Wraith features a wider and shorter wheelbase in comparison to its limo sibling, while its suspension and steering have been heavily modified to cope with the extra torque.

Described by its maker as ‘the ultimate gentlemen’s gran turismo’, the Wraith has been moved into be in action on Goodwood hill, as well as being on static display in the supercar paddock.
