Goodwood Festival of Speed: Top 20 highlights

More than 150,000 people flocked to West Sussex on 11 – 14 July to enjoy the 20th Goodwood Festival of Speed. Highlights from this year’s event included a number of important anniversaries: the Porsche 911’s 50th, McLaren’s 50th, WRC’s 40th and Le Mans’ 90th

There were also a fantastic mixture of supercars, stars and motorsport legends to ensure that the Festival of Speed lived up to its billing as the world’s greatest motoring garden party. Weighing 22 tons, and measuring 23-meters in height, the Porsche sculpture celebrated 50 years of the iconic 911 in typical Goodwood style. A focal point for everyone visiting the Festival of Speed, the colossal steel arrows were tipped with three different 911 models  - a 1965 coupe, a 1973 2.7 RS and a 2013 Type 911 Carrera 4.
