Toyota offers new 'swappage' scheme

Fri, 15 Jan 2010
With the scrappage scheme poised to end in March, Toyota is trying to tempt those looking to buy a new car with its 'swappage' deal.

Under the programme, new Yaris, Auris or Avensis models will be available at a £2,000 when exchanged for a used car.

An extra £500 is available on the Aventis T2 models and the TR and T4 lines come with £750 more.

The manufacturer also recently introduced a new version of the Yaris, one with greater fuel-efficiency and more power.

It is available for new cars ordered up to March 31st and registered up to July 31st this year.

This is as long as trade-ins are DVLA-registered, insured and have a current MoT certificate.

Sales director Richard Balshaw said: "The famous quality, reliability and keen cost-of-ownership of our models have made them a hugely popular choice for motorists taking advantage of Scrappage," adding that the 'swappage' scheme would extend these opportunities.
