Jaguar Auctions 2010MY Cars To Verify Retail Prices

Wed, 12 Aug 2009

Manheim Auctions, Bristol was the venue for the recent auction debut of Jaguar’s 2010 model year XF and XK cars. The 2010 Jaguar models featured at the closed auction included five XF and two XFR models as well as three XK models (two convertibles and one coupe) and two XKR models (one convertible and one coupe). Jaguar has sold every single one of the 428 cars that have been put through a Manheim auction this year and values achieved averaged 102.87% CAP Clean.

As well as the debut of the 2010 XF and XK models other Jaguars offered at the auction included the X-Type, X-Type Estate, S-Type and XJ. True to form, every one of the 103 models was sold at a total value exceeding £2.4 million. This latest closed auction was attended by 43 Jaguar dealers - 31 physically in the auction hall and an additional 12 also bidding online. Demand for the models on offer was extremely strong, resulting in an overall achievement of 103.72% CAP Clean.

Commenting on the auction Paul Stauvers, National Used Car Sales Manager, Jaguar Cars Ltd said: “Jaguar is delighted with the debut success of the 2010 XF and XK models and the support shown by the dealer network. August is usually a quiet time of year for used car sales generally but to achieve a 100% sale with strong prices was certainly very encouraging. The continued enthusiasm of our dealer network for Jaguar used stock demonstrates that dealers recognise the value of their used car operations in these difficult trading conditions.”

James Leese, Manheim’s Sales Director for Manufacturer Remarketing, added: “The Jaguar XF and XK models have certainly raised the profile of the marque since their launch. While there is no doubt that the economic uncertainty is affecting the luxury car sector, we were able to employ the expertise that we have built up in recent years for this type of event and, following some intense marketing activity, it is great to see such strong demand and confidence for this brand in the auction hall.”
