Some more Scottish input.

Left Rugeley at 0715 this morning - about an inch, once off the estate clear roads.

M6 biggest blockage caused by several rubberneckers wanting to look at the fridges Ironic. . . . Fridges on the road.

Shap generally clear, some encroachment into the middle lane (at 09:30).

Passing Carlisle was the worst, heavy snowstorm covering f snow on the road.

No falling snow on the m74 (am)

Edinburgh was getting a little more (more than a little).

Snow stopped falling at around Perth and road up to Inverness was fine.

Fort Auustus tomorrow an them back to Edinburgh tomorrow evening . . . Might be interesting.

FWD Diesel Avensis, standard summer tyres, shovel, rope and bits of old carpet in boot. Not needed any of it yet.

Wife cannot get onto the drive at home because it i so slippery. Fields are still green around Inverness.

ijws, thats some drive just to get to Fort Augustus!!

Last time I was there it had a petrol station, the old abbey and a couple of pubs and restaurants and that was it!

Mind you had a few good Hogmanays in a wee place called Auchterawe, just as you come out of Fort Augustus turn left up the hill. A house in the middle of the country with a huge open fire!! Heaven!
