Are "most of us" really that ignorant? I think not. And for those who are, the remedy is in their own hands. It really isn't that hard to learn some of the most elementary things about cars. And if you don't want to do so, you know who to blame if you incur unexpected costs. Why should anyone else be responsible for remedying your complete lack of knowledge and your apparent unwillingness to rectify it?
