Could you recommend a medium-size van for a delivery driver?

I'm a delivery drive. Could you recommend a medium-size van with an automatic gearbox, please?

The Ford Transit Custom is the best medium sized panel van you can get right now. It’s available with a six-speed automatic gearbox: vans.honestjohn.co.uk/van-reviews/ford/transit-cus.../

The Citroen Dispatch (vans.honestjohn.co.uk/van-reviews/citroen/dispatch.../) and Peugeot Expert (vans.honestjohn.co.uk/van-reviews/peugeot/expert-2.../) are also easy to drive, capable of shifting considerable loads and available with autos.

However, if you’re looking for a new van for delivery work, you might want to reconsider diesel if you will only be covering short distances. A modern Euro6 diesel with a DPF cannot be repeatedly started from cold and driven short distances. It needs to do at least 15 motorway miles before it starts to operate correctly. Failure to do this could cause the filter becoming clogged up and failing, which will result in expensive bills for cleaning or replacing the DPF.
