Do I have to pay import duty as well as the price of the vehicle?

I'm thinking about getting a Nissan Elgrand. Do I have to pay the duty on it as well as the price of the motor?

If you buy it in the UK, Euro import duty of 10 per cent and UK VAT of 20 per cent duly paid then there is no further duty to pay. If you try to import it yourself from a Japanese auction, then there's shipping to pay on top, plus 10 per cent plus 20 per cent on the auction invoice plus the shipping.
