Is it true that air-con needs servicing every two years?

The air-con in my van does not seem to do much. Is it true it needs servicing every two years?

If it’s blowing warm air then it might simply need a re-gas. If the heater blower is not working at all then it could point to a failed motor. I’d recommend taking it to an air conditioning specialist to have it checked out. Once up and running again, you should use the air con for at least 15 mins a week (in both winter and summer) to prevent the seals from drying out. Otherwise dried out seals can result in the gas leaking.
