In terms of road tax, are pick-up trucks classed as cars?

I am buying a Volkswagen Amarok V6 (204) Highline. In terms of road tax, is this classed as a car after April 1?

Pick-ups are classed as light commercial vehicles and subject to the same tax rates as a van, which is £240 a year: vans.honestjohn.co.uk/van-news/miscellaneous/2017-.../
