Buying a pick up - what do recommend?

I plan to buy a recent model pick up to take to Zimbabwe. My choices are either a Ford Ranger, Nissan Navara or Toyota Hilux.

Which would you recommend?

The latest model Navara with coil rear springs is great to drive but seems to have DPF issues. The latest HiLux is good in theory, but failed a Scandinavian Elk avoidance test by about 3mph. Spares availability is likely to be best for the HiLux. The Ranger seems to be reasonably robust and unless you really need the 3.2, the 2.2 is easier to drive. HiLuxes for Zimbabwe are built in South Africa. I'd have added the Isuzu D-Max to the list if I could.
