What is causing my Volkswagen Eos to feel sluggish when cold?

I have a Volkswagen Eos with a TDI engine and DSG gearbox. It's four years old, but only shows 28,000 miles with four Volkswagen main dealer services. When cold the car moves reluctantly and higher revs than normal are needed. I must add that this is on a gravel drive where there is more resistance. The problem goes away when warm. Also, progress at very low speeds is a little jerkier than other automatic gearboxes that I drive. Are these typical of DSG gearboxes or should I have the gearbox oil changed, which is recommended at 50,000 miles?
The transmission fluid and microfilter change are already overdue.
