It depends on what you’re going to use the van for to be honest. If you are a foreman, and want a commercial for light use, then these are ideal. They're great to look at and have lots of storage space.

However, if you want a workhorse, then you might want to look at the lower spec models. The Ford Transit Sport Van and Volkswagen Transporter are good vans, but both are vulnerable to light damage. For example, alloy wheels and building sites don’t mix.

I’d also warn against buying a lowered van as they're not really designed to tackle the rough and tumble of your standard, half-built construction road. My advice would be to buy a standard Transit or Transporter and then spend the extra money on a good racking system, or something else that will make your working life easier.
