I had to drive through roadworks - what can I expect?

I was driving a 3.5 tonne Luton in London, during which I saw a road closure in Regent street, there was a sign that said "Road ahead closed except for access" and cones blocking the turning entrance as I turned right, some cars could go through the gap they created but no way was my van going to make the turn, so I crossed over the wrong side of the road to gain access, no cars were coming etc. but I'm worried about being caught on CCTV, and what the outcome would be if I was caught on CCTV?
