My wife has been told she has damaged a bus in NW England, despite being in Southampton that day. What can we do?

My wife received notification from claims handlers Transcare Solutions Ltd that her vehicle was responsible for damage to an Arriva North West bus. They operate in N.W. England. On this date she drove the vehicle to her place of work in the Southampton area remaining there from about 8.00 to 18.00 hrs – this can be proved. Her insurance company has been notified. This appears to be either a mistake or the registration details have been cloned - what other steps should be taken in such cases?

Report this attempted fraud to the police immediately. Tell them it is NOT a civil matter. It is an attempted financial fraud. If this turns out to be a mistake and it results in an increased premium for being “involved” in a claim, you can sue Transcare Solutions for libel using www.moneyclaim.gov.uk
