Mr dippy

My wife complains that the dipped headlights of her Punto seem very dim. I seem to recall reading in your column that it is possible to upgrade the dipped lights halogen bulbs - currently HI-HI 55W - to something more powerful without it causing problems to the electrics. If so I would be grateful if you could advise on the correct bulbs.

Halfords sells and fits these bulbs. But do be aware that if your lights are not properly adjusted you can blind drivers coming in the opposite direction, and that is an offence.
