My approved used car was not serviced as per the schedule - what are my rights?

A week ago I bought an approved used 2016 F-Pace from a Jaguar dealer with just under 40,000 miles on the clock. I have only just noticed that the first service was done at 26 months/26,500 miles rather than 24 months/21,000 miles. The dealer has assured me this won't be a problem and they will still honour the one year warranty. I know how you feel about such a long service period and am worried that this will have affected the life of the engine long-term. It also means that I won't be able to buy an aftermarket warranty as most say servicing should be done within 1 month/1000 miles of the schedule. Is it likely that the engine has been affected and what are my rights in this case?
If it's running fine, the difference between a 24 month service and a 26 month service is unlikely to have made the engine any worse than it would be with 24 month service intervals. But the dealer has committed a 'misleading omission' under the Consumer Protection from Unfair Trading Regulations 2008 and must make satisfactory amends, including, if you wish, accepting your rejection of the car on the grounds you have outlined. See: www.honestjohn.co.uk/faq/consumer-rights/ and scroll down to the regulations and case law.
