There are several EV scooters and small motorcycles to choose from. The Vespa Elettrica has the classic looks associated with this Italian brand and a 62-mile range, though it's more expensive than its petrol-powered siblings. The Super Soco TS is classed as a 50cc moped, so it can be ridden by 16-year olds and it rides well. Niu offers a range of electric scooters that are ideal for urban commuting, while the BMW C evolution is a maxi scooter with a range of up to 100 miles and is one of our favourites. The BMW is quite expensive but is a more versatile machine than most other EV scooters. Zero makes a range of electric motorcycles and all are good to ride. In the small to medium class, the Zero FX 7.2 gets our vote as the best for its blend of style, comfort and range.
