Does misfuelling insurance cover having a tank drained as a claim?

If an insurance policy has specific misfuelling cover, would claiming to have the tank drained be counted as a claim or be treated like a replacement windscreen and not count as a claim?

It is dependent on the wording. When the policy is not specifically worded, it would count as a claim. With specific wording, it may be different. On reviewing the wording from your insurer, it is classified as making a claim. It advises that accidental damage excess is applicable. I would suggest it would not be in your interest to make a claim for just draining the fuel.
