My insurance premium has increased because of a claim that's still not been settled - what can I do?

I was hit by a third party back in September and provided dash cam evidence to all insurance companies concerned. However, the claim hasn't been settled as liability hasn't been settled despite my insurance chasing them up. Five months down the line, my other car insurance is due and my premium has gone up because this claim hasn't been settled. Can I contact the third party insurance and complaint to Financial Ombudsman?

You need to complain to your own insurer to go to the Financial Ombudsman, you have no rights to go to the FOS with the other insurer. Contact the other insurer directly and ask "is liability in dispute? And if so why? Advise you will be suing for increased premiums as part of your claim for uninsured losses.
