Do I need to register my classic cars with the DVLA to make them MoT exempt?

I own two classic cars (1930 and 1970) both of which are listed as "Historic Vehicle " in their Registration Certificates. Do I need to register them on a V112 with DVLA to confirm I do not require an MOT for either car?

You should just be able to declare them MoT exempt next time you renew your historic vehicle tax online.
