What's the best 4x4 van?

The old Ford Transit was offered with four-wheel drive, all-terrain tyres and raised suspension for coping with muddy farm tracks, wintery roads and light snow. The Transit 4x4 is rare on the used market (most were bought by utility companies) and usually powered by the 2.4-litre TDI engine: vans.honestjohn.co.uk/van-reviews/ford/transit-200.../

The Volkswagen T5 Transporter was also sold with 4Motion four-wheel drive. Like the Ford, these can be difficult on the second-hand market and will command a premium, but are great for reaching areas where a standard van will struggle: vans.honestjohn.co.uk/van-reviews/volkswagen/trans.../
